The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Social Security System (SSS) have partnered to boost skills training and social security access for Filipino freelancers and online professionals. Through a signed agreement, the two agencies aim to better serve this fast-growing group, helping them develop needed skills and get proper social protection. DICT Secretary Robert Joseph Montes de Claro noted that digital progress should not just create jobs, but also care for those building the sector. SSS chief Victor Alfonso Araullo Limlingan added the partnership will help more digital workers understand and sign up for SSS benefits. The agencies also signed a deal to link SSS services with the eGovPH Super App, making these easier to access online. This supports the Marcos administration’s goal to ensure digital growth brings real, inclusive benefits and security to all Filipino workers.
