DNL cautiously optimistic of prospects in 2027

Chemical maker D and L Industries Inc. is more hopeful about next year following the US midterm elections, which have raised hopes for an end to the Iran conflict, lower oil prices and a stronger peso. President Alvin Lao cited these as clear positives, though he warned that damaged supply chains, a severe El Niño and domestic political tensions remain key concerns.

DNL posted a 15 percent rise in nine-month net income to P2.24 billion, with third-quarter earnings surging 32 percent to P735 million, and remains on track for double-digit growth this year. The company is investing in new higher-margin products and expanding exports to maximize capacity at its new Batangas plant, though full-year projections for next year remain premature given the uncertainties ahead.
