The Philippine Airlines (PAL) has upgraded the services extended to Comfort Class passengers on domestic flights consistent with its commitment to the in-flight comfort and convenience of passengers.
The Lucio Tan-led airline said Comfort Class passengers enjoy access to PAL’s Mabuhay Lounges in Manila, Davao, Iloilo, and Cebu airports, dedicated check-in counters, increased mileage accrual to 115 percent for Mabuhay Miles Members, and assigned overhead bins for carry-on luggage items.
Comfort Class passengers are also treated to enhanced in-flight snack options including gourmet sandwiches like the Chicken Waldorf sandwich and the Crunchy Salmon with celery and parmesan sandwich, to name a couple.
The upgraded Comfort Class also retains seats with more legroom, complimentary blankets and pillows, reserved seats near or at the front of the cabin for faster and easier boarding and deplaning experience, welcome drinks with juice, soda, coffee, and tea options,
free 25-kilo baggage allowance for checked-in baggage and assigned lavatory and amenities on select aircraft.
Launched in September last year, PAL’s Comfort Class is offered on all domestic flights operated by the airline’s Airbus A330 Bi-class, Airbus A321ceo, Airbus A320 and De Havilland DHC-8-400 Next Generation aircraft.
The service is tailored for passengers desiring a more comfortable, convenient, and seamless flight journey from pre-boarding to arrival.
“These improvements to our Comfort Class service will provide our passengers with a more pleasant experience when they fly on our domestic routes,” Yosh Yoshida, PAL head of product and service management, said.
“From increased mileage accrual and free baggage allowance, Mabuhay Lounge access, to more meal options, we hope to entice more travelers to try and experience PAL’s Comfort Class first-hand,” Yoshida added.
