Converge ICT Solutions Inc. on Thursday claimed the distinction as the fastest internet service provider in the country in the second half of 2023 at the Ookla Speedtest Awards.
The company said it dominated the Ookla Speedtest Awards in the second half of 2023 and declared the fastest internet service provider in the Philippines, toppling the competition which held the title the past five years.
“Our path to this achievement was guided by the singular mission of answering the broadband needs of Filipinos. That is why each year we made leaps in technology innovation and product development, all to deliver excellent connectivity solutions to our subscribers,” Dennis Anthony Uy, chief executive and co-founder, said.

Converge cemented its speed dominance in the user-initiated speed test and ratings awards having topped the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2023 with an internet speed of 457.56 Mbps, surpassing the national speed record of 365.19 Mbps. The company achieved a speed score of 123.18 that outpaced its closest competitor.
Video and gaming experience dominance boosted customer satisfaction for Converge by outperforming the competition with a video score of 86.58 and a total Game Score of 88.27, leaving rivals trailing in both categories. The video and gaming recognitions solidified its prominence in instant play, seamless playback, and optimization for 4K viewing.
“What we’re seeing is a changing of the guard in the industry and this comes as no surprise given our hard-earned investments into our fiber network. In the end, service excellence through innovation and technology ruled the day,” said Converge president and co-founder Grace Y. Uy.
Converge has been at the forefront of the country’s digital revolution. Operating the largest fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in the country, the company boasts of a fiber footprint spanning over 682,000 kilometers.
With nearly 7.9 million fiber ports deployed and its coverage extending over 77.85 percent of the population, Converge pushed past two million residential subscribers before the end of 2023 and a testament to the growing demand for its reliable and high-speed internet services.
