Security Bank and Globe Telecom have announced a new partnership to provide enhanced mobile and banking services for Globe’s postpaid subscribers. The agreement aims to deliver an elevated customer experience by offering exclusive banking benefits to those with Globe’s Plan 1299 or higher.
As part of the collaboration, postpaid subscribers can access Security Bank’s award-winning retail banking products and the newly revamped BetterBanking Rewards platform. Subscribers who renew or upgrade their mobile plans can enjoy bill rebates of P1,500 or P2,500 when they apply for and are approved for a Security Bank credit card. This promotion will be available through Globe Stores and the Globe online shop until 31 December 2024.
“We are excited to join forces with Globe to bring our BetterBanking retail solutions to their valued postpaid customers. Our commitment to delivering differentiated and high-quality products aligns seamlessly with Globe’s digital-first approach, ensuring that customers receive the best possible experience,” said Rahul Rasal, executive vice president and retail banking segment head at Security Bank. “This partnership is a testament to our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the market.”
Globe’s Eric Tanbauco, head of consumer mobile business, emphasized the synergy between the companies, stating, “At Globe, we are committed to going beyond telco by providing innovative solutions that enhance the lives of our customers. This partnership allows us to give our loyal postpaid subscribers exclusive banking information, products, and rewards that complement their digital lifestyle.”
The new collaboration builds on the companies’ previous partnership in November 2023, when they signed a two-year agreement to jointly combat financial crime and identity theft, sharing data to support fraud investigations while adhering to the standards set by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
With this latest initiative, Security Bank and Globe are further cementing their roles as leaders in delivering integrated, digital-first services to Filipino consumers.
