The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said on Monday that the Ayala Land Inc. Taguig City Integrated Terminal Exchange (ITX) is set for completion by the first quarter of 2027, marking a milestone in the push for a modern transport system.
In a ground-breaking ceremony, Transportation Secretary Jaime J. Bautista highlighted the significance of the facility, which will span 5.57 hectares and cater to 160,000 passengers daily. The multi-modal terminal will provide seamless connection between key regions like Laguna and Batangas, and Metro Manila’s extensive transport network.
The project will include a range of amenities such as passenger terminals, parking facilities, and efficient transfer points connecting to the North-South Commuter Railway, buses, taxis, and other public transport.
Ayala Land will lead the design, construction, and financing of the terminal, with additional responsibilities for operation, maintenance, and potential commercial development. The facility aims to significantly improve interconnectivity and ease of travel for Filipino commuters.
This development underscores Ayala’s role in helping shape the country’s infrastructure, joining forces with companies like MWM Terminals Inc., operators of the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange, in enhancing public transport systems across the Philippines.
