Precision Crestec extends clean energy deal with First Gen

Industrial printing leader Precision Crestec, Inc. has renewed its commitment to sustainability by extending its clean energy supply agreement with First Gen Corporation. Under the new deal, First Gen will provide 700 kilowatts of renewable energy (RE) to power Precision Crestec’s production facility in Pasig City, continuing a partnership that began in 2021.

The move aligns with Precision Crestec’s efforts to meet the growing demand from customers for environmentally responsible supply chains and products. As a key player in providing packaging solutions to industries such as food and beverage, electronics, and pharmaceuticals, Precision Crestec has made sustainability a central component of its operations, focusing on eco-friendly and cost-effective packaging designs with minimal carbon footprints.

First Gen, a leader in renewable energy with 1,651 MW of installed RE capacity, including solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal plants, is also providing Precision Crestec with energy efficiency solutions, including real-time power consumption monitoring through Pi Energy Inc., its sister company. These solutions aim to reduce energy waste, lower costs, and further minimize the carbon footprint of the production process.

“This partnership enables Precision Crestec to optimize energy usage, reduce costs, and enhance the sustainability of its operations,” said Carlo Lorenzo Vega, First Gen vice president. “By using renewable energy, they’re taking significant steps in reducing their environmental impact.”

First Gen’s commitment to sustainability not only helps companies like Precision Crestec transition to greener operations but also contributes to the Philippines’ energy security with a combined 3,668 MW of power generation from both renewable and natural gas sources.

This collaboration highlights the growing trend of industries prioritizing clean energy solutions to meet both business needs and environmental goals.
