The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) concluded its participation at the Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) 2025 by securing P151.8 million in sales leads. Held from 4 to 6 April at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore, ADEX 2025 attracted over 49,900 trade and consumer attendees, solidifying its position as Asia’s largest and longest-running dive expo.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Philippines held the title of official country partner, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable dive tourism and enhancing its status as a premier global dive destination. The event highlighted the country’s unparalleled underwater experiences, with five top diving destinations—Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Bohol, Cebu, and Negros Oriental—showcased at the Philippine booth. A standout feature of the booth was a striking dive tunnel that offered visitors a glimpse into the region’s vibrant coral reefs, protected marine sanctuaries, and thrilling pelagic encounters.
Marivic Sevilla, TPB manager of the International Promotions Department, emphasized the country’s dedication to marine conservation and sustainable tourism. “The Philippines’ consistent presence at ADEX reflects our unwavering commitment to promoting sustainable dive tourism and strengthening our position as one of the world’s most biodiverse marine destinations,” she said.
The Philippine delegation included 24 co-exhibitors, representing diverse regions such as Southern Tagalog, MIMAROPA, Central Visayas, Western Visayas, and Aklan, who presented a range of diving offerings, accommodations, and tour packages. Notable among the participants was scuba diving instructor and ocean sustainability advocate Vanessa Vergara, who shared insights on the country’s diverse diving destinations and macro-photography opportunities.
In addition to consumer engagement, the TPB activated the relaunched Travel Philippines app, offering exclusive travel deals and curated content, designed to appeal to all types of travelers, including those interested in diving experiences.
ADEX continues to serve as a vital platform for diving industry stakeholders to network and form partnerships. Through its ongoing participation, the Philippines reinforces its strategic role in the global dive tourism market.
