Infobip Ltd. has expanded its partnership with SM Supermalls to improve how shoppers are engaged across both physical malls and digital platforms.
The collaboration uses Infobip’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools and the messaging app Viber (through Viber for Business) to send more personalized and timely promotions to customers.
Under the setup, SM Supermalls can launch data-driven campaigns such as special offers, promotions, and re-engagement messages to shoppers who opt in. These messages can be triggered by actions like connecting to mall Wi-Fi or interacting digitally while inside malls.
The goal is to move away from generic promotions and instead deliver more targeted communication based on customer behavior, helping increase mall visits and customer loyalty.
Infobip said the approach helps brands meet shoppers on their phones with more relevant messaging. SM Supermalls added that the system helps turn digital insights into more personalized in-mall experiences.
Messaging platform partner Rakuten Viber said Filipino shoppers now expect more seamless, mobile-first experiences, and the partnership helps deliver secure and relevant engagement through Viber.
