A local fuel retailer said diesel prices are expected to go down again this week, with possible rollbacks of around ₱8 to ₱10 per liter.
For gasoline, the retailer said prices may either stay unchanged or increase slightly by up to ₱1 per liter.
The retailer, who declined to be named, said global oil prices remain volatile due to renewed tensions in the Middle East. These developments continue to disrupt shipping routes and fuel supply, leading to unstable market conditions.
If the forecast proves true, this would mark the third straight week of significant diesel price cuts.
Over the past two weeks, fuel prices have already dropped by a total of ₱7.84 per liter for gasoline, ₱47.94 per liter for diesel, and ₱13.50 per liter for kerosene.
Based on the latest data from the Department of Energy for April 14 to 20, 2026, pump prices in Metro Manila average ₱86.10 per liter for RON 91 gasoline, ₱123.40 per liter for diesel, and ₱154.60 per liter for kerosene.
