Most International Airlines at NAIA Now Linked to BI Pre-Arrival System

Thirty-four international airlines operating at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) have successfully connected to the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) Advance Passenger Information System, according to New NAIA Infrastructure Corporation (NNIC). This setup lets carriers send passenger details to immigration authorities before flights arrive or depart, bringing the country’s main airport closer to faster and more secure border checks.

Eleven other airlines are still working to complete their full connection and regular data transmission, based on BI records. NNIC, the airport’s private operator, emphasized that full compliance is key to supporting advance screening, speeding up counter processing, and expanding use of the newly installed immigration e-gates—part of NAIA’s ongoing modernization.

The BI has given all remaining international carriers until June 30, 2026, to finish linking up and start submitting complete passenger data consistently. NNIC noted that full participation will help maximize the benefits of automated systems, cut down waiting times, and make travel smoother overall. It added that it will keep coordinating with the BI, airlines, and other partners to ensure safer, quicker, and more efficient passenger handling at NAIA.
