CIAC, Jamco seal P600-M Clark expansion deal

Clark International Airport Corporation and Jamco Philippines Inc. formalized a P600-million expansion agreement on June 23, 2026, deepening Clark’s positioning as a rising aerospace manufacturing hub and signaling renewed investor confidence in high-value production within the country.

The deal, signed by CIAC President and CEO Joseph Alcazar and Jamco Philippines President Giovanni Atzei, anchors a three-year expansion program that will scale up investments and shift operations toward more advanced aircraft interior assembly work inside the Clark Aviation Capital zone.

Under the agreement, Jamco Philippines commits at least P600 million in investments through 2028, with operations expected to fully ramp up by then. The expansion will move part of its production base from Japan to Clark, focusing on final assembly of aircraft interiors supplied to global aerospace manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing.

CIAC said the partnership reflects Clark’s transition from basic manufacturing activity to higher-value, export-oriented aerospace production, supported by infrastructure readiness and a growing pool of skilled workers.

Jamco Philippines is projected to expand its workforce from around 450 to as many as 1,400 employees, creating additional technical jobs while deepening local expertise in aerospace manufacturing.

Beyond capital inflows, the project strengthens Clark’s role in global supply chains, with finished components expected to be shipped to major aerospace hubs in Europe and the United States.

CIAC added that the investment reinforces Clark’s long-term strategy to attract technology-driven industries and position the aviation complex as a competitive manufacturing base in Asia.
