Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) emerged as the overall top-performing organization at the 5th HR Excellence Awards Philippines, taking home six Gold, two Silver, and one Bronze award, the highest tally among 64 participating organizations.
The recognition underscores how human resources is increasingly moving beyond its traditional administrative role to become a strategic lever for business performance, talent retention, and organizational resilience.
Held August 6 at the Grand Hyatt Manila, the awards organized by Human Resources Online recognized companies for excellence in people practices, innovation, and business impact. An independent panel of senior HR and business leaders evaluated entries across talent management, learning and development, employee experience, rewards, digital transformation, and workplace culture.
ALI’s Gold awards covered Best HR Team, Performance Management Evolution, Learning and Development, In-House Talent Pipeline Strategy, Agile Talent Mobility, and CSR. It also won Silver awards for Total Rewards Strategy and Corporate Wellness, and Bronze for Digital Transformation.
The breadth of ALI’s wins is notable because it reflects an integrated approach to workforce management, linking talent programs with organizational capabilities and business needs. These include enterprise-wide talent reviews and succession planning, internal mobility, digitalized performance management, leadership development, and a holistic employee wellness framework.
ALI Chief Human Resources Officer Isa Sagun said the recognition reflects the company’s focus on creating a workplace where employees can “thrive, grow, and do meaningful work together.”
The awards also put ALI alongside major companies such as Amazon, AXA, DHL, FedEx, Globe, ING Hubs, Manulife, Maxicare, Maya, Nestlé, and Sun Life, highlighting how strong people strategies are becoming an increasingly important competitive advantage.
