The Lind Coron to open in 2027: Homegrown brand returns to where it all began

The Lind Hotels will launch The Lind Coron in 2027, expanding the Filipino hospitality brand into Palawan and coming back to the place where its story first started. Over ten years ago, Coron was the company’s very first property acquisition and the spot where the vision for The Lind Hotels took root. The brand instead debuted in Boracay at that time, choosing a more established tourism market to build its name, and now circles back to fulfill its original plan.

That early choice laid the groundwork for strong growth. The Lind Boracay has since earned international recognition and multiple honors, standing as the first hotel on the island listed in the MICHELIN Guide. The upcoming Coron opening marks a full-circle moment for the brand, returning to its origin point with proven standing in premium hospitality.

“We have always believed in pioneering rather than following,” said Pierre Henrichs, Chief Operating Officer of The Lind Hotels. “Coron offers a rare combination of natural beauty and untapped potential. Our goal is not only to be part of its growth, but to help shape its future by bringing a new standard of hospitality to the destination.”

Set amid Coron’s iconic limestone formations, clear turquoise waters, hidden lagoons and rich marine life, The Lind Coron is designed to let guests experience the destination at their own pace—whether exploring nearby islands or relaxing at the resort. The property will offer 91 rooms and villas built for privacy, comfort and connection, with private villas featuring personal dipping pools and dedicated hosts for attentive, personalized service.

Cuisine will be a highlight, with signature modern Thai restaurant Yím and all-day dining spot Crust, positioned beside the infinity pool with sweeping sea views and indoor-outdoor spaces serving Mediterranean dishes and locally made drinks. The resort will also bring The Spa Wellness Coron to Palawan—part of the Philippines’ first spa brand to earn Superbrand status—offering award-winning holistic treatments in a serene, scenic setting.

Diving and island adventures will be central to the stay, with an on-site dive center run by one of the country’s diving veterans, known for partnering with top hospitality brands. World War II shipwrecks just off the shore put some of Coron’s most famous underwater experiences within easy reach. Versatile spaces will cater to gatherings large and small: The Gallery indoor venue holds up to 200 guests with panoramic sea views, The Cove offers outdoor settings, and the Roof Deck delivers 360-degree sea, mountain and greenery views ideal for weddings, special moments and events.

“We aim to create a resort that belongs in its setting rather than competes with it,” Henrichs added. “We want guests to experience the beauty, authenticity and adventure of Coron while enjoying the hospitality and service they have come to associate with The Lind Hotels.”
