Aboitiz Foods, the integrated food and agribusiness arm of the Aboitiz Group, has inaugurated its latest and most advanced feed mill in Long An, Vietnam.
This USD 45 million investment is Aboitiz Foods’ largest commitment in the country, underscoring its determination to expand its presence across Southeast Asia.
The Gold Coin Long An Feed Mill spans 3.8 hectares and is equipped with cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technology, including a modern laboratory.
The facility has the capacity to produce 300,000 metric tons of livestock and animal nutrition feed annually.
The new feed mill replaces the Dong Nai mill and complements the fully operational Binh Duong plant, bringing Aboitiz Foods’ total feed production capacity in Vietnam to an impressive 1.1 million metric tons.
The opening of this feed mill is crucial for meeting the rising demand for high-quality animal nutrition in southern Vietnam.
The new feed mill is a significant milestone for the Gold Coin Feed Agribusiness Division and the entire Aboitiz Group, said Tristan Aboitiz, president and chief executive officer of Aboitiz Foods.
“Vietnam is a key market for us, and this new facility reinforces our strong position in the country while marking a significant step in building our regional feed platform,” he said.
Strategically located near a major river route with a private port, the feed mill enhances the efficiency of trade for finished goods and raw materials, ultimately reducing costs and delivery times for customers.
This prime location also bolsters the food supply chain for central, southern, and Mekong Delta provinces, contributing to sustainable growth and job creation in Long An province.
