Fire contained at D&L Batangas facility, no impact on operations

D&L Industries Inc. reported on Monday that a fire broke out outside a warehouse at its Batangas facility on Sunday afternoon.

The company said that the fire was promptly contained and extinguished at approximately 2:30 p.m. thanks to the quick response of its Hazmat team, along with fire brigades from the First Industrial Township, First Philippine Industrial Park, and nearby cities.

According to D&L, the fire only affected the area outside the warehouse and did not impact other parts of the Batangas facility. There were no casualties or injuries reported, and the company anticipates no significant disruption to its operations. The affected area is located far from D&L’s processing and production buildings, so there has been no effect on the company’s operations, production schedule, or product quality. “D&L has taken all necessary measures to ensure safety and maintain operational integrity,” the company told the Philippine Stock Exchange.

The Bureau of Fire Protection is currently investigating the cause of the fire and assessing its full impact.

“We remain committed to transparency and operational excellence, and we will continue to provide updates on any further developments,” D&L added.

D&L Industries is a publicly-listed company with investments across several sectors, including the customization, development, and manufacturing of food ingredients, colorants, additives, engineered polymers, aerosol products, oleochemicals, resins, and powder coatings. The company operates through four principal business lines: food ingredients, colorants and plastic additives, oleochemicals, resins and powder coatings, and consumer products original design manufacturing.
