Globe Telecom ramped up its network infrastructure development in Q2 2025, highlighting aggressive expansion and 5G rollout efforts aimed at meeting the country’s surging digital demand.
The company reported sustained sequential growth in gross service revenues, which has fueled its extensive network buildout. Globe constructed 937 new cell sites and upgraded 4,512 LTE sites nationwide, significantly strengthening mobile coverage and service quality.
To support rising home broadband needs, Globe deployed 35,821 new fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) lines, extending high-speed internet access to more households for remote work, e-learning, and digital commerce. Over 600 towns were fully migrated to fiber, marking a key milestone in Globe’s shift away from copper-based networks—reducing service disruptions and aligning with its green network strategy.
On the 5G front, Globe installed 444 new 5G sites, expanding outdoor coverage to 98.71 percent in Metro Manila and 98.19 percent in key cities in Visayas and Mindanao as of end-June 2025. The telco also maintained its global 5G roaming leadership with 168 inbound and 183 outbound partnerships across 99 destinations.
These efforts underscore Globe’s commitment to future-proofing its network and advancing digital connectivity in the Philippines, positioning the country as a growing hub for innovation and digital adoption in the region.
