Jetstar launches two new routes between Philippines and Australia

Jetstar on Monday announced the launch of two new direct services connecting the Philippines and Australia, reinforcing its strategic expansion across the Asia-Pacific region. Starting 27 November 2025, the low-cost carrier will operate flights from Manila to Perth, followed by the Cebu–Brisbane route launching on 3 December 2025. Both routes will run three times weekly using Jetstar’s new-generation Airbus A321LR aircraft.

The airline expects the routes to contribute over 108,000 low-fare seats annually, aiming to stimulate tourism and trade between the two nations. The move is part of Jetstar’s ongoing fleet and network expansion, which includes 20 new domestic and international routes announced or launched since June 2024. The rollout is underpinned by investments in fuel-efficient A321LR and A320neo aircraft, as well as the strategic redeployment of Boeing 787 Dreamliners for longer-haul operations.

Jetstar Group CEO Stephanie Tully emphasized the dual benefit of the new connections. “We’re proud to be connecting more Australians with the Philippines, and just as importantly, opening up new opportunities for Filipinos to travel, reunite with family, and grow tourism and trade,” she said.

With these additions, Jetstar is positioning itself to capitalize on growing travel demand across Southeast Asia and Australia, while strengthening its presence in key leisure markets.
