The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Monetary Board has canceled the registration of ABA Global Philippines, Inc., which operates under the trade name COEX STAR, as a remittance and transfer company.
In Resolution No. 928 dated September 18, 2025, the board affirmed with finality the decision to revoke the company’s Certificate of Registration to operate as a Type “B” remittance agent with virtual currency exchange services, now referred to as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP).
The decision was made in accordance with Sections 901-N and 902-N of the Manual of Regulations for Non-Bank Financial Institutions, which governs the licensing and oversight of remittance and virtual asset service providers.
