The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has reopened its redesigned Buendia Center branch in Makati City, now serving as the bank’s first full “phygital” flagship—combining digital tools with personalized in-branch services.
Located in the former Far East Bank Building, the branch features BPI’s first open-layout design aimed at removing barriers and creating a more welcoming customer experience. “We want everyone who walks in to feel valued and experience our genuine hospitality,” said BPI consumer banking head Maria Cristina “Ginbee” Go.
The upgraded branch offers private meeting pods for advisory sessions, concierge and quick-transact assistance, and a hybrid setup for both digital-first and traditional banking customers. Key highlights include a bright, spacious interior, a café kiosk in the lobby, an outdoor business garden for small meetings, and five ATMs at both entrances.
The branch also houses an HR Recruitment area, providing a professional and inviting space for applicant interviews.
