Megawide, Pag-IBIG team up to deliver 7,000 homes

Megawide Construction Corp. and the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG) have inked a landmark partnership to fast-track the government’s expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.

The P10 billion agreement, structured through Megawide’s subsidiary Dreamrise Residences, aims to deliver at least 7,000 affordable housing units over the next two to three years.

“The partnership with Pag-IBIG addresses the housing supply gap. We are uniquely positioned to deliver high-quality, cost-efficient homes with speed and consistency,” said Megawide Chairman and CEO Edgar Saavedra.

Pag-IBIG Fund, the country’s largest home financing institution, provides accessible savings and affordable housing loans to Filipino workers. Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta emphasized that the collaboration “allows us to deliver affordable homes faster while protecting and growing our members’ savings through a secure, Board-approved investment.”

The initiative builds on Pag-IBIG’s subsidized socialized housing loans, offering three percent annual interest for the first five years, supporting both horizontal and vertical developments nationwide. The partnership aligns with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development’s 4PH program, aiming to expand affordable housing access across the Philippines.

Megawide’s long-term roadmap envisions 100,000 units, with the first 50,000 already identified in five Cavite locations: Imus, Dasmarinas, and Bacoor. The company has a proven track record in nation-building projects, from delivering 10,000 public school classrooms under the Public-School Infrastructure Project to constructing Mactan-Cebu and Clark international airport terminals and operating the country’s premier landport.

By combining Pag-IBIG’s financial muscle with Megawide’s technical expertise, the partnership promises to accelerate affordable housing delivery, meeting the growing demand while ensuring quality, sustainability, and accessibility for Filipino families.
