Globe earns A- climate rating from global watchdog CDP

Telecommunications firm Globe has been rated a Climate Leader by global environmental nonprofit CDP after earning an A- score for climate action in 2025. The rating places Globe among companies seen as taking credible, well-managed steps to cut emissions and manage climate risks, based on disclosures used by investors, governments, and financial markets worldwide.

CDP scores companies on how clearly they report environmental data, how well they understand climate and water risks, and whether they show real progress through strategy and results. An A- rating means Globe demonstrated strong governance, measurable emissions reductions, and a clear transition plan, just below the top “A” leadership level. Globe also received a B score for water security in its first year of assessment, signaling solid action and room to further strengthen water management.

The climate score reflects Globe’s long-term efforts, including climate risk analysis, full accounting of greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain, and targets aligned with its goal of net-zero emissions by 2050. The company has shifted hundreds of facilities to renewable energy, rolled out thousands of low-emission network solutions, and reduced plastic use through eco-friendly SIM cards and paperless services.

Globe’s water rating highlights conservation measures at its headquarters, where recycled and harvested water is reused for daily operations, cutting freshwater demand. CDP also named Globe a Supplier Engagement Leader in 2024, underscoring its efforts to push climate action across its supply chain. Together, the recognitions show Globe’s sustainability claims are backed by data, transparency, and ongoing performance.
