Ayala Corp. warns vs investment scam using fake Spinneys Philippines accounts

Ayala Corporation on Saturday issued a warning to the public regarding a fraudulent investment scheme circulating online that falsely uses the Ayala name and branding.

According to the company, scammers are operating a fake Facebook page, @spinneysphilippines2025, and a Viber account, @spineysph, posing as Spinneys Philippines and promoting supposed investment opportunities with guaranteed returns. Ayala clarified that it has no affiliation with these accounts and does not endorse or participate in any such investment offerings.

The company emphasized that all official announcements and business communications are released exclusively through Ayala Corporation’s verified channels. Members of the public are urged to rely only on the company’s official website and authenticated social media pages for accurate information and updates.

Ayala reiterated the importance of heightened vigilance, noting that fraudulent actors are increasingly exploiting the names of well-known and reputable organizations to deceive potential victims. The public is advised to exercise caution when encountering unsolicited investment offers or online content that promises unusually high or guaranteed returns, as these are common red flags of investment scams.
