Globe highlights network reliability, faster speeds for everyday users

Globe Telecom Inc. said it continues to deliver reliable service to consumers, reporting network availability of over 99 percent. The company said independent tests show its network provides smoother video streaming than competitors, with less buffering on platforms such as Facebook.

Globe reported that its average mobile download speed rose to 34.8 Mbps, up 8 percent from last year, while broadband speeds increased more sharply to 120.4 Mbps, a 36 percent gain. These speeds exceed the requirements of commonly used apps like Facebook, YouTube, and Zoom, supporting smoother video, faster app loading, and more responsive online activity for users.

The company said reliability is built into its network operations, including added capacity in high-traffic areas, better traffic management for video and voice, and faster service restoration during outages through backup power and secondary lines. Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz said dependable connectivity supports daily needs such as learning and work. Globe also plans to shift how it reports network performance, focusing more on real-world user experience rather than peak test results. As of 2025, Globe reported a Net Promoter Score of 49, higher than the telco industry average of 31, indicating stronger customer satisfaction and loyalty.
