Megaworld accelerates wellness-driven living in Palawan

Megaworld Corp., the listed property development arm of tycoon Andrew Tan, is accelerating its expansion in Palawan as it introduces a new wellness-focused residential concept within its 462-hectare ecotourism township, Paragua Coastown, in San Vicente.

The property giant has launched Santé Residences Palawan, a 14-story development rising near the lush mountain ranges that surround the township. The project marks Megaworld’s third residential offering in Paragua Coastown and is envisioned to be the first WELL-registered residential property in the Philippines.

Santé Residences Palawan is designed to adhere to WELL Residential certification standards, a globally recognized framework for developments that prioritize health and well-being. These standards are anchored on ten key concepts, including air quality, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind, and community.

“We are excited to pioneer this new residential concept in the country,” said Javier Romeo Abustan, head of sales and marketing for Megaworld Palawan. “Santé Residences Palawan is designed as a sanctuary that integrates nature and the science of living well, offering residents a home that supports both physical and mental wellness.”

Architectural design draws inspiration from Palawan’s expansive tropical environment, with angled balcony pods oriented to deliver uninterrupted views of Pagdanan Bay, surrounding forests, and the wider township. The second-level amenity deck reinforces the project’s wellness ethos, featuring curated facilities such as a fitness studio, halotherapy center, quiet lounge, hydro-kinetics pool, meditation spaces, and a botanique garden that supports mindful, sustainable living.

The development will offer 460 residential units, ranging from studios to three-bedroom bi-level layouts, all with private balconies. Smart home systems, energy-efficient equipment, water-saving fixtures, rainwater harvesting, and EV-ready parking spaces further underscore the project’s sustainability focus.

Santé Residences Palawan is projected to generate P6.5 billion in sales and is scheduled for completion by 2031. Alongside ongoing hotel developments in Paragua Coastown, the project strengthens San Vicente’s position as an emerging tourism and lifestyle destination in Palawan.
