The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) inducted its 2026–2027 Board of Trustees before Vico Sotto, mayor of Pasig City, during a ceremony at the Temporary Pasig City Hall on March 9.
The new board is led by Ana Ruby Pista, APR, of Ardent Communications and AI Centre of Excellence (ACE) as president. Other officers include Norman A. Agatep of Grupo Agatep (vice president for internal affairs), Edgar U. Timbungco of Mang Inasal Philippines (vice president for external affairs), Karla De Quiros of Full Circle Communications, Inc. (corporate secretary), and Agapito Del Rosario Zaldarriaga of Manila Electric Company (treasurer).
Also serving as trustees are representatives from the Philippine Information Agency, the Quezon City Government, AirAsia Philippines, and De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, with advisers from Brown Bag Communication Phils., Inc., Philippine Veterans Bank, and the International Association of Business Communicators.
PRSP said inviting Mayor Sotto to administer the oath underscores its commitment to transparency, accountability, and public trust.
The ceremony also highlighted a shared focus on media literacy, as both sides raised concerns over misinformation, fake news, and the misuse of artificial intelligence in digital platforms.
For the new term, PRSP plans to expand the National PR Congress to other regions, continue professional development programs, and strengthen student engagement through PR caravans and competitions as part of its vision to “Steward the Story.”
