Philweb lands major online gaming deal with Andrew Tan’s Traveller’s International

PhilWeb Corp. on Monday bared entering into an agreement with Andrew Tan’s Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. for its online gaming operations. 

Under the agreement, PhilWeb will provide platform technology, system support, gaming content integration, marketing and operational services for Newport World Resorts online gaming platform, NWRPlay. 

“The engagement forms part of the company’s ongoing initiatives to expand its B2B platform and content initiatives within the regulated online gaming sector,” the company said. 

Last month, Philweb has entered into the game content distribution and aggregation business, following its recent B2B accreditation with the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.’s framework. 

Under this initiative, PhilWeb is establishing relationships with leading global gaming content providers, while simultaneously building a content aggregation layer that enables licensed operators to access a broad portfolio of compliant gaming content through a unified platform  interface.

Initial launch deployments include PT Gaming and Nustar Online of the Gokongwei group. 

Travellers owns and operates Newport World Resorts, the country’s pioneer in  integrated resort, combining privately operated gaming facilities with hospitality, entertainment, retail and lifestyle offerings.  Newport in Pasay features Newport Mall, which houses a range of retail outlets and restaurants, the 1,710-seat Newport Performing Arts Theater, and a four-screen cinema.
