Cebu Pacific has been recognized as one of the world’s top-performing airlines in sustainability, ranking in the top 25 percent globally in the latest S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). The airline scored 47, above the industry average of 37, making it the most sustainable carrier in the Philippines.
The S&P CSA evaluates companies based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance.
The airline said its improved score reflects ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into its operations as it continues to expand. In 2025, Cebu Pacific flew more than 27 million passengers and operated over 170,000 flights.
Despite this growth, the airline reported environmental gains, including avoiding around 35,000 tons of carbon emissions and saving about 11,000 tonnes of jet fuel through newer aircraft and operational improvements. It also reduced emissions intensity to 75.7 grams of CO₂ per revenue passenger kilometer.
Cebu Pacific plans to further cut emissions by transitioning to an all-NEO aircraft fleet by 2030 and expanding the use of electric ground support equipment at airports.
On the social side, women now hold 51 percent of management positions in the company, above the national average. The airline also highlighted ongoing employee training, engagement programs, and mental health support.
Governance improvements, including stronger anti-corruption measures and compliance systems, were also cited as part of its ESG progress.
Customer satisfaction also improved, with the airline’s Net Promoter Score rising to +35, up seven points from the previous year, alongside better ratings in boarding, baggage handling, and inflight service.
