ATRAM launches Nasdaq income fund for Philippine investors

Asset and wealth manager ATRAM on Tuesday introduced a new investment fund designed to give investors both exposure to global technology companies and regular monthly income.

The ATRAM Nasdaq Equity Income Feeder Fund invests in companies listed on the Nasdaq-100 Index, which includes major innovation-driven firms. It also uses a strategy called “covered calls,” where it sells options on the index to earn extra income. These option premiums are used to provide cash flow to investors.

The fund comes at a time when market volatility has made it harder for investors to stay invested in fast-growing tech stocks. ATRAM says the new strategy helps balance growth potential with more stable income, allowing investors to remain invested even during uncertain markets.

Unlike traditional equity funds that rely mainly on rising stock prices, this fund generates income from market movements, which may lead to more consistent returns. However, gains may be limited during strong market rallies.

The fund feeds into a target fund managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, which has historically delivered annual income of around 9–11 percent, though returns are not guaranteed and depend on market conditions.

ATRAM and its partner say the product is aimed at investors who want exposure to global innovation, regular income, and a smoother investment experience over the long term.
