The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has partnered with Amesco Drug, marking its first collaboration with a Davao-based business under its “May BPI Dito” program.
The partnership allows Amesco Drug branches across Davao, North Cotabato, and South Cotabato to serve as banking touchpoints. Customers can now open accounts, deposit and withdraw money, and apply for loans, credit cards, insurance, and investments without going to a bank branch.
BPI said the move aims to bring financial services closer to underserved communities, especially in Mindanao, by integrating banking into everyday locations such as pharmacies.
BPI Agency Banking Head Rally Jereza said the initiative is designed to meet Filipinos where they already are, making banking more accessible and part of daily life.
Amesco Drug President Andrew Uyboco said the partnership reflects a shared goal of serving communities, adding that the collaboration will help improve services for customers.
All 25 Amesco Drug branches are now equipped to handle BPI product applications, while select locations already offer deposit and withdrawal services. More branches are expected to roll out additional services soon.
BPI’s “May BPI Dito” network now includes over 7,000 partner stores nationwide as it continues to expand.
