The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) will proceed with the collection of around ₱3.8 billion in outstanding Supervision and Regulation Fees (SRF) from NOW Telecom Inc., following a final and executory Supreme Court ruling.
On April 21, 2026, the High Court denied the motion for reconsideration filed by the company, upholding earlier decisions that affirmed the NTC’s authority to impose regulatory fees. The Court sustained the disqualification of NOW Telecom from the 3G frequency assignment due to failure to settle SRF and Spectrum User Fees (SUF).
The ruling confirmed that liabilities converted into company equity are subject to regulatory charges, rejecting the company’s claim that these amounts should be excluded from computation. As of September 30, 2025, the total outstanding amount including penalties reached ₱3,769,408,931.66. The NTC stated that the collection is aligned with the final court decision, reinforcing the principle that regulated entities must comply with statutory financial obligations.
