Globe delivered reliable and enhanced network support throughout Baragatan sa Palawan 2026, the province’s largest annual celebration, keeping residents, visitors, vendors, and local government units connected. The service allowed attendees to access event details, share photos and videos instantly, communicate easily, and complete digital transactions, while also letting communities outside Puerto Princesa City follow the highlights.
In Puerto Princesa, Globe operates over 80 cell sites — more than 20 of which are 5G-ready — handling the surge in data traffic during the festival. Across the whole province, the company maintains more than 200 sites as part of its wider infrastructure. It also set up dedicated livestream links at key venues, so people across Palawan and beyond could join the festivities remotely.
Beyond connectivity, Globe backed the Baragatan Moments 2026 Reel-Making Contest, offering a 5G smartphone as grand prize, lamppost banners, and extra internet access at main grounds. These efforts supported digital storytelling and boosted online engagement.
Adonis Evangelista, Globe senior director for Palawan, noted the festival’s role in showcasing local culture and achievements, adding that Globe’s support made the event more accessible. The initiatives also align with Puerto Princesa’s growing tourism sector — which recorded nearly 400,000 visitors and ₱2.6 billion in receipts in the first half of 2025 — reinforcing Globe’s commitment to expanding digital access and bringing communities together.
