The Philippines will take the spotlight at next year’s China-ASEAN Expo after being named Country of Honor for the 23rd CAEXPO, giving local businesses a prime platform to expand trade, attract investments and strengthen commercial ties across the region.
The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) said the designation reflects the country’s growing stature as a trusted trade and investment partner and offers Philippine enterprises greater exposure to buyers, investors and business leaders from China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Far from being a symbolic title, the recognition places the Philippines at the forefront of one of Asia’s largest trade and investment exhibitions, where it will showcase its export strengths, tourism offerings and high-growth industries.
As Country of Honor, the Philippines will lead the PARTNERPhilippines campaign, highlighting locally made products, services and investment opportunities while promoting the country’s competitiveness, innovation and expanding role in regional value chains.
CITEM said the distinction also signals rising international confidence in the Philippine economy and is expected to help businesses penetrate new markets, forge strategic partnerships and generate fresh investment opportunities.
The Philippines will headline the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo, scheduled on Sept. 17 to 21, 2026, at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangxi, China. The event is expected to draw thousands of government officials, business executives, investors and international buyers, providing Philippine companies with a valuable opportunity to boost exports and deepen economic engagement with one of the country’s largest trading partners.
The recognition comes as the government steps up efforts to diversify export markets and position the Philippines as a more competitive player in the fast-growing ASEAN-China economic corridor.
