Bitstar Telecom Inc., a new telecommunications firm, officially entered the Philippine market by launching its enterprise internet service on April 15, 2026. The rollout comes as the Konektadong Pinoy Act opens the industry to greater competition and investment in broadband infrastructure, creating space for challengers to compete with established providers.
The company is initially serving businesses across the National Capital Region and plans to expand nationwide as it scales its network and grows its customer base. Bitstar is positioning itself as a digital-first internet service provider focused on enterprises, offering high-speed fiber connectivity at competitive price points. A key part of its strategy is simplifying the customer journey by digitizing everything from inquiry and onboarding to installation, account management, and after-sales support.
President and CEO Miguel Bitanga said digital customer experience should be standard for service companies and that Bitstar is addressing that gap. “We use apps for everything else in our lives; our internet should not be any different,” he said. Bitanga also emphasized affordability as a core selling point, noting that while fiber internet is a commodity in other countries, it remains a luxury for many Philippine businesses. Bitstar aims to make reliable, high-speed internet more accessible through competitively priced service plans.
To enter Metro Manila’s crowded telecom sector, Bitstar is using a hybrid network strategy that combines its own infrastructure with partnerships with existing telecommunications providers. The company said this approach lets it leverage established network assets while quickly expanding service availability.
Bitstar believes its combination of partnerships, digital-first operations, and lower-cost plans positions it as a viable alternative for enterprises seeking reliable connectivity without the complexity of traditional telecom services. The company plans to capitalize on the more open regulatory environment by expanding beyond Metro Manila while keeping its focus on customer experience, affordability, and enterprise-grade connectivity.
