Enderun Colleges has partnered with leading Philippine renewable energy producer First Gen Group to power its entire campus with clean energy, advancing the institution’s green campus goals. The agreement was signed in April and took effect in June 2026, with all buildings and facilities at its 1.7-hectare main campus in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, now running entirely on renewable power. First Gen will supply the college’s estimated 650-kilowatt energy requirement from its Unified Leyte power plant.
Danny Perez, chief operating officer of Enderun Colleges, noted that the partnership balances environmental responsibility with practical value. “We studied the renewable energy source of First Gen and what it looked like in terms of operational cost. It’s so good when initiatives that help save the planet, help the environment, and help sustainability aligns with business sense,” Perez said.
Arlene Soriano, First Gen head of sales and engagement, observed a growing shift among energy buyers. “Year on year, we can see the transition from customers who are after cheaper electricity to pro-actively indicating that they want renewable energy source. It is always a privilege to partner with educational institutions who choose renewable energy because this can inspire the next generation to make conscious decisions. We look forward to supporting Enderun in helping achieve decarbonization goals,” Soriano added.

First Gen operates 31 hydro, geothermal, solar and wind facilities across the country, with a total generating capacity of 1,700 megawatts.
