PhilWeb returns to profitability in first half 2026

PhilWeb Corp. announced Tuesday it has returned to profitability in the first half of the year, posting net income of P60.96 million — a turnaround from the P41.76 million loss recorded in the same period last year.

The company said it has solidified its standing as the technology infrastructure provider for the country’s top integrated resorts and global content providers.

“The company continues to aggressively scale its profitable digital ecosystem,” PhilWeb said. Company president Brian Ng added that rapid sequential growth and margin expansion in the second quarter demonstrate the strong efficiency of their digital gaming solutions segment. “By empowering major licensed operators and global content providers, we are building a complete, regulation-ready digital ecosystem that delivers lasting commercial value,” Ng said.

Total revenue for the first six months of 2026 reached P585.4 million, up 63 percent from P358.6 million a year earlier.

For the second quarter alone, net income hit P47.02 million, a reversal from the P16.25 million loss in the same quarter last year. Revenue nearly doubled to P352.38 million from P179.8 million.

PhilWeb said the turnaround was driven largely by its core digital gaming solutions segment. This division — which includes the company’s proprietary platform and premium game content distribution network — generated P200.3 million in revenue, more than doubling from the prior quarter. It now makes up 57 percent of the company’s total revenue.
