The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has assured the public that passenger comfort remains a key priority as rehabilitation proceeds at Davao International Airport’s passenger terminal, noting the work carries important policy implications for upgrading national aviation infrastructure and delivering better public services.
CAAP apologized for warmer conditions in some pre-departure gate lounges, explaining air conditioning units serving Gates 4 to 8 have been temporarily turned off to allow safe progress on wall improvements, cladding work and a full upgrade of the air conditioning system itself.
To ease discomfort, air coolers have been deployed as an interim measure. These temporary disruptions form part of broader efforts to build safer, more efficient and comfortable airport facilities, aligned with goals to raise service standards across the country’s aviation network.
CAAP appealed for passenger patience, stating improvements are necessary to sustain better airport operations and deliver lasting benefits for all travelers.
