Movem, Meralco turn over e-shuttles to Makati’s Bel-Air

Movem Electric, Inc., Meralco’s fully owned end-to-end electric mobility provider under Manuel V. Pangilinan, has turned over two all-electric shuttles to Barangay Bel-Air, Makati City.

Each shuttle seats 14 passengers, runs up to 150 km per charge, and offers faster charging plus improved safety and comfort. The service gives residents—especially seniors—cleaner, quieter, more convenient transport while supporting the barangay’s eco-goals.

“These e-shuttles mark another step toward a greener, more accessible Bel-Air, reducing our carbon footprint for future generations,” said Barangay Captain Cynthia Cervantes. “We hope this inspires other communities.”

Beyond vehicles, Movem will deliver charging infrastructure and ongoing support to sustain the shift. “Barangay Bel-Air is already leading in community-level sustainable mobility,” said Movem president and CEO Ralph M. Menchavez. “This partnership sets a benchmark for scalable EV adoption across the Philippines.”

The initiative reinforces Meralco and Movem’s commitment to making electric mobility practical and accessible nationwide.
