UNIQLO expands Philippine footprint with bigger stores

UNIQLO is expanding its Philippine retail network with three new stores and three larger locations for Fall/Winter 2026, extending its reach into Mindanao, major transport hubs, and fast-growing residential markets.

The Japanese apparel retailer will open UNIQLO SM City Zamboanga on Sept. 25, its eighth store in Mindanao, giving it a stronger presence in the southern Philippines.

The Zamboanga store will also be the first in the country to carry UNIQLO’s Modest Wear collection for women, including the AIRism UV Protection Hijab, broadening the retailer’s product offering for local consumers.

In November, UNIQLO will open new stores at NAIA Terminal 3 and SM City Nuvali.

The NAIA Terminal 3 outlet will be located in the departure area of one of the country’s busiest international gateways, putting the brand directly in front of travelers. The Nuvali store will expand its reach in one of South Luzon’s rapidly growing residential and lifestyle communities.

UNIQLO is also expanding existing stores at SM City Marikina and SM City Cabanatuan, with the Cabanatuan branch adding self-checkout counters.

Its SM City Cebu store will be transformed from a single-level standard outlet into a two-level large-format store, allowing it to carry a wider range of LifeWear products and categories.

In Mindanao, UNIQLO will also reopen its SM City General Santos store following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck the region in June.

The latest rollout gives UNIQLO a broader mix of locations, from regional cities and emerging growth centers to an international airport, while larger stores allow the retailer to expand its product range and customer reach.
