Globe tops NTC SMS test; posts strong speed, fewer drop calls

Globe led the National Telecommunications Commission’s latest service quality tests, recording the highest SMS success rate at 99.41 percent — the only provider to pass the NTC’s 99 percent standard. Its call drop ratio hit just 0.74 percent, well below the 2 percent limit, while peak download speed reached 381 Mbps.

DICT data backs up the gains: Globe’s overall performance rose from 77.2 in January to 82.6 in September, with average speeds up 41 percent. Holding nearly 45 percent market share, it accounted for only 6.1 percent of disconnection complaints, down 64 percent since January.

“These results show our network delivers the reliable service Filipinos count on,” said Globe General Counsel Froilan Castelo. “We’ll keep building and improving for everyone.”
