Bloomberry bets P30M on online gaming growth

Bloomberry Resorts Corp. is stepping up its push into the Philippines’ expanding digital gaming market, rolling out a P30-million year-end promotional campaign for its online gaming platform, FUNaloMAX, as operators compete to attract and retain players.

Running from October 17 to December 27, the campaign combines weekly, monthly and year-end raffles featuring high-value prizes, including a Tesla Model 3 and 250 Apple iPhone 18 Pro units. The initiative underscores Bloomberry’s efforts to deepen digital engagement as online gaming becomes an increasingly important segment of the Philippine gaming industry.

Industry projections point to Philippine gross gaming revenue growth of about 17 percent through 2030, with online gaming expected to be a major driver. That outlook presents opportunities for established operators seeking to expand beyond traditional casino operations, but also raises the stakes in a market where customer acquisition, player retention and regulatory compliance are critical.

“Our Q4 campaign is designed to reward our players and solidify FUNaloMAX’s positioning as a premier, trust-driven digital gaming destination in the Philippines,” said Kelvin Kuang, Bloomberry vice president for online gaming.

Under the campaign mechanics, players earn one raffle entry for every P5,000 in accumulated turnover on eligible slot and bingo games. The 250 smartphones will be awarded through 10 weekly draws, while two winners will each receive P150,000 in bonus credits on November 29. Another winner will receive P1 million in bonus credits on December 27, when the Tesla Model 3 grand prize will also be awarded.

The scale of the promotion reflects the competitive role of incentives in digital gaming, where operators seek to encourage repeat activity and build brand recognition. However, the campaign’s commercial impact will ultimately depend on whether promotional spending translates into sustained player engagement and long-term business growth.

Bloomberry said the initiative forms part of its broader strategy to expand its digital presence while maintaining an emphasis on regulatory compliance and player protection.

FUNaloMAX operates under a license from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR). The platform requires identity verification and has data protection and voluntary self-exclusion safeguards in place. Participation is limited to eligible, verified users aged 21 and above.
