Converge net income down 9% in 9 months, enterprise business leads revenue growth

Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. reported a 9 percent drop in net income for the first nine months of 2026, falling to P8.08 billion from P8.9 billion in the same period last year — even as total revenues rose thanks to strong momentum in its enterprise business.

Consolidated revenues climbed 3.9 percent year-on-year to P34.2 billion, up from P33 billion a year earlier.

The enterprise segment stood out as the company’s top growth engine, with revenue jumping 22 percent to P6.4 billion. Large corporate clients led the way at 29.3 percent growth, while small and medium enterprise (SME) revenues rose a steady 15.4 percent. This segment now makes up nearly one-fifth of the firm’s total revenue.

Residential business remained solid, bringing in P27.9 billion in revenue and serving 3.10 million subscribers as of the end of September. Capital expenditures for the nine-month period hit P9.9 billion.

Converge also highlighted strong network reliability, noting it quickly minimized disruptions when a Philippines–Singapore subsea cable was damaged by redirecting traffic through its Bifrost cable system. Chief Executive Dennis Anthony Uy noted these international cable investments were planned five years ago to build greater network resilience.

“With additional capacity from two new cables, Converge now operates the youngest and most resilient international network among Philippine telecom providers today,” Uy said.

In another key development, the company’s Angeles Data Center in Pampanga earned Strategic Investment Green Lane status from the Department of Trade and Industry–Board of Investments. The designation will speed up permit approvals for expanding its cloud computing, colocation, and data center services.

Converge said its expanding digital backbone — spanning over 960,000 kilometers of fiber, subsea cables, satellite links, and Tier III data centers — positions the company well to meet rising demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence, and connected devices across the country.
