Clark International Airport (CRK) on Wednesday reported handling nearly two million passengers in 2023, up 156 percent from a year ago.
“We are both thrilled and affirmed by what we’ve achieved this year. The substantial increase in passenger numbers, surpassing both industry forecasts and previous year’s performance, is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team and the attractiveness of our airport,” Noel Manankil, president and chief executive of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), said.
In 2023, the airport guided a total of 14,892 flights coming from or going to 11 international and 10 domestic destinations.
Looking ahead this year, Manankil committed to build even more on their achievements.
“As we move forward, we vow to build on this success and explore new avenues for enhancement. Our goal is to exceed customer expectations, and we are excited about the opportunities that the coming year holds for Clark International Airport,” Manankil said.
“This growth not only indicates a robust recovery for Clark International Airport and the Central and Northern Luzon regions, but also reflects a positive trend in the broader aviation sector,” he added.
Clark airport is an alternate gateway serving as many as eight million passengers annually. It services 10 domestic flights including Caticlan (Boracay), Puerto Princesa and Busuanga, Davao, Cebu and Cagayan de Oro and eleven international destinations such as Dubai, Doha, Incheon, Hongkong, Bangkok, and Singapore.
