The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) on Friday projected completing the Siargao cruise terminal project by the third quarter this year.
PPA general manager Jay Santiago vowed to develop more cruise terminals proximate to popular tourism sites as Siargao, Camiguin, Boracay, Palawan, and Puerto Galera.

The PPA is also constructing another cruise terminal in Coron, Palawan seen completed by next year.
This adds to the list of cruise terminal points across the country and in addition to the Camiguin terminal lined up earlier.
Some of the ports under PPA supervision that cater to cruise vessels include the ports of Currimao in Ilocos Norte, Salomague in Ilocos Sur, Manila, Bohol and El Nido, Palawan.
The PPA reported more than 80,000 cruise ship passengers visiting the Philippines in 2023.
