Cebu Pacific (CEB) has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a brand-new A330neo, its 16th aircraft of 2024, to meet rising travel demand. The 459-seater aircraft arrived in Manila on Thursday, bringing CEB’s total A330neo fleet to 10.
Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer, emphasized the aircraft’s role in supporting the airline’s commitment to affordable, reliable travel. “The A330neo’s versatility and efficiency are key to our goal of providing affordable and reliable travel options for every Juan,” Lao said.
Designed to serve high-traffic routes and long-haul destinations, the A330neo is known for its fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels, offering 15 percent less fuel consumption per flight compared to older models. This reduction also contributes to lower carbon emissions, aligning with CEB’s sustainability goals.
The delivery follows a significant deal CEB signed with Airbus and Pratt & Whitney on 2 October for up to 152 A321neo aircraft, marking the largest-ever acquisition in Philippine aviation history, valued at approximately USD24 billion (P1.4 trillion).
With one of the youngest fleets globally, Cebu Pacific now operates a diverse mix of 10 Airbus A330s, 40 A320s, 25 A321s, and 15 ATR turboprops, ensuring extensive network coverage across the Philippines.
