Scoot expands network with new flights to Vienna and Iloilo City

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA), has announced the launch of new direct flight services to Vienna, Austria, and Iloilo City, Philippines, further expanding its global footprint.

Starting 3 June 2025, Scoot will operate three weekly flights from Singapore to Vienna using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, offering 329 seats across two cabin classes. Vienna, known for its cultural heritage and proximity to major European cities, presents a strong travel market for both leisure and business tourism. The airline also plans to offer flights to Iloilo City starting 14 April 2025, initially twice weekly on an Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, with frequency set to increase to four times a week by June.

The new routes tap into emerging travel demand, with Vienna providing a gateway to Eastern Europe, while Iloilo City offers cultural experiences and local attractions such as the Dinagyang Festival. Fares for these new routes start from SGD309 to Vienna and SGD129 to Iloilo City, with one-way premium fares starting from SGD659.

In a strategic shift, Scoot will also be suspending flights to Berlin and Jinan by the end of March and February, respectively, as part of efforts to optimize its network and align capacity with demand.

Leslie Thng, Scoot CEO, emphasized the airline’s commitment to offering affordable travel options while expanding its global network. These new services are expected to bolster the airline’s appeal to budget-conscious travellers seeking diverse destinations.

Bookings for the new flights opened on 16 January 2025, via Scoot’s website and mobile app.
