STI Education Systems Holdings Inc. is committed to its growth strategy, focusing on building more campuses to capitalize on its corporate momentum. With a track record of profitability, the company is strategically positioning itself to further leverage economies of scale, as highlighted by STI chairman Eusebio Tanco.
Tanco emphasized that STI’s network of educational institutions, which includes STI Education Services Group (STI ESG), STI West Negros University (STI NWU), and iACADEMY, has already reached a key milestone: hitting the “sweet spot” where growth translates directly to profitability. “We hit the economies of scale two or three years ago, meaning any growth in the top line will go directly to the bottom line,” Tanco said.
With this foundation in place, Tanco said STI’s challenge is expanding capacity to meet growing demand. “We just have to build more capacity. Build more schools,” he stated, signaling the company’s next phase of growth. This includes the development of a new STI-branded campus in Alabang, which is set to open in 2026.
The P950 million campus, located in South Park District, will be an eight-storey facility designed to accommodate up to 10,000 senior high school and college students. STI president and COO Peter K. Fernandez said that the new campus aligns with the company’s goal of meeting modern educational demands. “This new campus in Alabang reflects our commitment to creating a conducive learning environment that empowers students with relevant skills, knowledge, and character,” Fernandez said.
In addition to its campus expansion, STI reported a significant increase in financial performance, with a 76 percent rise in profits to P912.2 million for the first half of its fiscal year, compared to the previous year’s P517.8 million. Revenue also grew 34 percent to P2.63 billion, underscoring the strength of its business model.
As part of its ongoing expansion efforts, STI recently acquired assets from the Philippine School of Business Administration and remains open to further acquisition opportunities.
The continued growth and expansion strategy underline STI Education’s drive to strengthen its position as a leading provider of educational services in the Philippines.
