NAIA modernization set for 2025 with Collins Aerospace partnership

The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) has joined forces with Collins Aerospace to overhaul Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), aiming to create a world-class travel experience. The modernization, which will begin in May and culminate by September this year, includes advanced self-service kiosks, biometric screening, and real-time flight updates.

Collins Aerospace, a global leader in airport technology, will lead the upgrade with innovations such as Common Use Passenger Processing Systems and biometric security features to streamline passenger flows and enhance security. The project will reduce wait times and improve operational efficiency, including a new resource management system and baggage tracking technology.

NNIC president, Ramon S. Ang, emphasized the importance of this initiative, calling it “long overdue,” as it aims to address congestion and outdated infrastructure at the airport. This modernization is expected to transform NAIA into one of the most efficient airports in the region, catering to the growing passenger demand.
