Grab, MOVE IT, COMELEC Launch #RideToVote mobilizing voters

Grab Philippines and motorcycle taxi platform MOVE IT have teamed up with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to roll out #RideToVote, a two-phase campaign combining digital outreach and transport support for Filipino voters.

Through the campaign, Grab is utilizing its digital ecosystem — including its app, social media channels, and influencer network — to help COMELEC spread vital election information. Voters can access checklists, ID requirements, and voting do’s and don’ts aimed at fostering an informed electorate.

“As a partner in nation-building and progress, Grab Philippines recognizes that an informed and empowered electorate is the cornerstone of a strong democracy,” said Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda.

To reduce transportation barriers on election day, Grab and MOVE IT are also offering discounted rides. Voters can use the promo code RIDETOVOTE for P50 off GrabCar rides on May 12 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., while MOVE IT users can enter BOTONAMI for P20 off motorcycle taxi rides from May 10 to 12.

In collaboration with COMELEC, Grab will also set up booking assistance stations at 10 high-traffic voting sites in Metro Manila and Cebu, where brand ambassadors will help voters arrange discounted rides through the Grab app.

As part of inclusive voting efforts, COMELEC is introducing Early Voting Hours from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. for senior citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), and pregnant voters. Grab will provide these sectors with free rides during this period through a special in-app promo code.

COMELEC chairman George Erwin Garcia praised the joint initiative, saying, “We deeply value this partnership with Grab and MOVE IT, as it demonstrates how collaboration can address real challenges, such as transportation barriers that often hinder voter turnout.”
