Clark eyes unified tourism push after record year

The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) is calling for a unified tourism strategy across Metro Clark following a banner 2025 that saw visitor arrivals hit 32.6 million and generate P43.47 billion in receipts.

The strong performance was fueled largely by sustained growth in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE), reinforcing Clark’s position as a premier events and business hub.

CDC president and chief executive officer Agnes VST Devanadera said the next phase of growth will depend on tighter coordination among local governments and industry stakeholders. She emphasized the need to present Metro Clark as a single, seamless destination to both domestic and international markets.

“Metro Clark must be presented as one destination, one identity,” Devanadera said, noting that local roadshows should be maximized before expanding promotions overseas.

The proposed unified approach highlights the corridor’s diverse tourism assets. The Clark Freeport Zone anchors aviation heritage, shopping, and resort experiences in Mabalacat. Nearby Tarlac offers complementary attractions, with Bamban showcasing World War II landmarks and eco-tourism sites, and Capas drawing visitors to the Capas National Shrine.

In Pampanga, Porac features nature destinations and indigenous culinary traditions, while Angeles City blends heritage sites, museums, and leisure offerings.

Devanadera urged local government units to align with the Metro Clark Advisory Council (MCAC) in harmonizing branding, events, and promotional campaigns. She also called for the rollout of new attractions, updated tourism materials, and improved accessibility to support a coordinated national push.

Officials said a unified strategy would not only sustain tourism momentum but also strengthen investor confidence, positioning Metro Clark as a competitive, integrated destination in the regional travel and MICE landscape.
